CLAY (Christians Learning Across Yorkshire)
|
|
|
|
Christians Learning Across Yorkshire is a group of training/education officers, from various church denominations that are members of Churches Together in England, who seek to:
- promote a culture of lifelong learning in God’s church
- promote the unity of God’s church by working together to resource Christians for mission and ministry, whilst recognising that some learning is denominationally specific
- enhance learning by bringing diverse traditions side by side, as we seek common ground to share and strengths to celebrate

OUR VISION is to provide one day events and short courses that will enable all Christians in Yorkshire:-
- to become more confident in faith, discipleship and understanding in relation to God, membership of the church, and engagement as Christians in the world.
- to discover and develop skills for differing ministries
- to develop participation in the Christian community by learning in ways that value the corporate, as well as the individual, dimension of learning
- to participate in learning for discipleship that is rooted in understandings of the Christian tradition and the Bible, whilst maintaining respect for people of other faiths, cultures and traditions
- to ground ongoing learning in the habit of reflective practice.
