Extended Schools
|
By 2010 it is intended that all schools will become extended schools, that is they will offer a range of services to children and parents throughout the year and outside normal school hours
Schools are being encouraged to work in partnership with the private and voluntary sectors - including churches. The Consultative Group of Ministry amongst Children (CGMC) has put together a leaflet to help churches think about how thay might be involved. Come and join us for the second Core skills conference, this time exploring the themes of the new downloadable modules - Transitions, Young Leaders (coming soon), Special Needs (March 2008) and Global Issues (September 2008) as well as some of the original six modules.
Time will be spent looking at government agendas in the nations as well as hearing from the Children's Workforce Development Council.
